About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Finance / Accounting Manager to lead the finance department of a dynamic retail and trading company. This role requires someone with strong leadership capabilities, technical finance knowledge, and experience managing complex ERP systems across multiple entities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in financial planning, controls, compliance, and team management, with a preference for those with JAFZA / Freezone experience.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Oversight & Planning

Lead a team of 7+ accountants, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial operations

Prepare cash flow forecasts and identify financial risks

Develop and monitor budgets aligned with business goals

Conduct bi-monthly performance reviews and monthly P&L/trial balance reviews

Recommend cost-saving strategies and improve financial performance metrics
ERP Systems & Process Optimization

Maximize the use of ERP tools and unify systems (Retail POS, Tally, Microsoft Dynamics)

Establish and monitor financial SOPs and ERP implementation milestones
Compliance, Audit & Controls

Ensure adherence to IFRS, local tax laws, and international compliance standards

Oversee audit processes, operational procedures, and procurement policies

Vet contracts and manage financial regulatory responsibilities across geographies
Reporting & Reconciliation

Develop clear, actionable dashboard reports for leadership

Ensure monthly reconciliations across banks, vendors, and intercompany accounts

Maintain accuracy in all financial statements
Operations, Risk & Insurance

Implement policies for insurance, stock management, and currency risk mitigation

Improve logistics and internal control procedures to reduce financial exposure
Team Leadership & Coordination

Foster a collaborative and motivated finance team environment

Facilitate internal financial decision-making processes and meetings

Coordinate with HR, IT, and admin functions for expense and policy alignment
Required Qualifications & Experience
Education
-
Master’s Degree in Finance or Accounting

Chartered Accountant (CA) certification required

Additional postgraduate certifications preferred
Experience
-
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in finance/accounting

At least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role

Experience in banking negotiations and facility management
