Work Description :
• Receive emergency calls incoming to the Watchroom switchboard from ADAC divisions, subsidiaries, and airline partners and to initiate a timely Emergency and Rescue Services response to incidents.
• Maintain and implement the Callout List in major emergencies to ensure that all critical parties are informed of the event so that the most effective and timely response can be delivered.
• Enter all events and movements of all Emergency and Rescue Services vehicles and staff into the logbook to determine what and who is available to respond to an event when it occurs and create a written account of all activities for review by the appropriate individuals and authorities as required.
• Monitor and test all Watchroom equipment and fire alarm systems on a regular basis, up to and including daily, in order to ensure everything is operational.
• Collate and write a report for the Head of Emergency and Rescue Services detailing emergency response to incidents so that they are aware of the incident response of the Department and can improve future response if required.
• Enter all service requests for Emergency and Rescue Services vehicles and equipment from ADAC and related entities, including aircraft fueling standbys, and inform the Duty Officer of requests, so that asset allocation is known when determining an appropriate response to an incident.
• Report all serviceable vehicles, and current training to the Air Traffic Control Tower, so that the movement of vehicles and the availability of emergency assets can be utilized to ascertain the current airport safety category pertaining to what aircraft can safely land at ADAC facilities.
