Work Experience
I have 3+ years of experience in the field of Procurement. I have done my undergraduation in Mechanical Engineering from India and did advanced diploma in supply-chain management from BC, Canada. During my tenure, I was exposed to various supply-chain processes like demand planning, stocking, warehousing, efficient transportation, receiving, marketing etc. I also had the opportunity to train and work with major players in supply-chain industry such as Amazon, Home Depot and Walmart which helped me attain more practical knowledge on supply-chain processes. I started out as a Procurement engineer in an MEP contracting company based on United Arab Emirates.I was promoted to Procurement Manager on October 2020. Within my department, I liaise with different vendors across various countries to sustainably procure quality raw materials and parts and assemble them cost-efficiently. I prepare tender documents and negotiate the terms and conditions with various vendors and include them in the tender. I research about various supply-chain methods and evaluate the practical and financial aspects of it and effectively apply them in the procurement process. I conduct weekly meetings with my team along with the accounts department to discuss the financial impact of the strategies we implemented. I maintain a portfolio of various vendors highlighting their strengths and weaknesses based on time, cost efficiency, quality of product/service and reliability across various departments within the company. I am proficient in MySQL, Tableau and currently pursuing R language as I would like to become a Supply-chain analyst in near future.
